GOT codes? OCC codes??

These are referring to the different scales that you will see on your Strong Interest Inventory Career Assessment report.

GOT stands for General Occupational Themes and gives us a broad idea of where your interests lie in general.

The OCC codes are different as they refer to your interests and how they compare to people currently, happily employed in their professional - the assumption is, that if you scored similarly to people that work in these occupational areas that you too would likely enjoy and excel in that area as well!!

The GOT and OCC codes can be different when we are more inclined to ‘work’ in a particular area as opposed to have general interest as in the GOT codes.
