Embrace the Lessons & Have Fun

Can you name that tune?? Country music fans, you'll recognize this as part of a verse in Luke Bryan's 'Most People are Good' song. This line catches me everytime I hear that song and it is so true!

It reminds me of my student clients and of course of my own kids, and how much fun life can be when you dont have too many responsibilities as a young adult. It reminds me of where I have been, compared to where I am now in my own life.

And it also reminds me that with that fun, responsibilities-free lifestyle, come times for important life lessons to be learned. To my kids or my students, those lessons can be hard to swallow sometimes, but I can see now so clearly, that all of those lessons in my own life had purpose, they had to be learned the hard way in order for them to make me who I was meant to be.

So, embrace the lessons... learn about yourself, learn to love yourself, learn to be true to yourself, and never under estimate the importance of having fun!
