Golden Handcuffs or 'Gift'?

This is something that I don’t hear too often but it’s an example of how young people sometimes feel guilty about following their own path and not the path that their parents choose for them. I know all too well the love hate relationship with family business and the “golden handcuffs” syndrome... having taken over my dads outplacement business some time ago. The facts are this.. if you are cut out to run and are interested in the products or services of the family business then it could be a ‘gift’ to you and a way to make a living using your passions.
