Am I Management Material?

Ahhhh... this question comes from the planners among us, the visionaries who see themselves beyond school and first real jobs! I love it!! It’s true that some of us are more cut out to manage people and processes than others. Some seasoned professionals I have seen end up in these roles simply because of their long tenures with a company, but they aren’t necessarily happy in these roles. This is often apparent in their Career Assessment results, as it talks to us about Personal Work Styles in addition to compatible jobs. Some score lower on the Leadership and Risk Taking scales which can often be indicative of one who would rather not have to delegate tasks etc. Those that score high in these areas, are more likely to be comfortable taking charge in a leadership/managerial role!
