This is one of those comments that I do not hear often but I’m always aware that it could happen! If you don’t agree with the bulk of the career assessment results that we review together, then I look at 2 options. The first is the possibility that the way you answered the questions in the assessment weren’t 100% honest; this can happen sometimes if you are subconsciously or consciously trying to sway the results one way or another -usually to impress someone other than yourself. I can tell if this is the case because of the design of the Strong Interest Inventory and the typicality index which shows when inconsistency in answer response is present. If the typicality index is within normal range, and you still don’t agree with the results, then you should go with your gut over the report!!!
